In reality, the Park Center in Treptow is hardly any different from other shopping malls as we know them: you’ll find the usual chain stores here—and the widespread problem that shopping centers are no longer the magnets they once were.

This, however, increasingly offers cultural creators and other initiatives the chance to realize their projects here. In the case of the Park Center Treptow, it is the KungerKiezInitiative that has set up a stage in the mall and is allowed to host its clothing swap parties from time to time. “Shopping” in a completely different way: without money—and without consuming resources.
